Whether you're looking to improve your game or simply want to play a few rounds in paradise, there's a Sandals Resort that fits the bill.
A Few Things to Note About Playing Golf at Sandals
Teeing it up at a Sandals golf course is a golfer’s dream! Sandals offers complimentary green fees (Yes, you read that right!) at its courses in Jamaica, the Bahamas, and St Lucia.
One thing to note, however, is that golf carts are required on all courses and rental is not complimentary. Expect to pay $30 - $50 per person for a cart.
Not staying at a resort with a golf course? No problem! Sandals also offers free transfers to and from its neighboring resorts.
Without further adieu, let's get to it!
Top Sandals Resorts for Golfers
When it comes to blending the leisure of golf with the luxury of an all-inclusive vacation, these Sandals Resorts stand out for their courses, amenities, and breathtaking surroundings.

Sandals Emerald Bay Golf, Tennis & Spa Resort
Nestled in the Bahamas' Exuma chain, Sandals Emerald Bay boasts a championship 18-hole course designed by golf legend Greg Norman.
Topping out at over 7,000 yards, this award-winning course is the longest in the Caribbean and is known for its challenging fairways and six signature holes that skirt a scenic peninsula.
Bring your A-game when you come to this one!
***UPDATE: Important Information About Sandals Emerald Bay***
Just as this article went to press, Sandals announced a major re-branding in its resort line up.
On August 15, 2024 Sandals Emerald Bay will be closed down and be re-branded as
Beaches - Emerald Bay.
If you're not familiar with
Beaches Resorts, they are the family friendly version of all inclusive resorts in the
Sandals family. When it re-opens,
Beaches - Emerald Bay will be the first
Beaches property in the Bahamas.
Sadly, this means that the golf club at Emerald Bay will be closed during the transition.
This also means that for golfers looking to escape to a Sandals Resort for a golf vacation, things may get very busy at the other properties. At Two Pineapples in Paradise, we're keeping an eye on this situation as it develops, so please feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort & Spa in St. Lucia
If the seaside challenges of golf at Emerald Bay seem a little too daunting, you'll love the course in St Lucia. The Cap Estate Golf and Country Club is perfect for players of all levels.
It's shorter than the Emerald Bay course by about 250 yards and the windswept sea cliffs of Exuma are replaced by sprawling slopes with lush foliage and ponds sprinkled through out, but it’s still a challenging course that makes for a very enjoyable round of golf.
It’s located at the Sandals Regency la Toc, which is just a 5 minute transfer from the Sandals Grande St Lucian and a 25 minute transfer from the Sandals Halcyon Beach.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort in Jamaica
In the heart of Ocho Rios, Sandals Ochi Beach Resort offers access to the nearby Upton Estate Golf & Country Club, an 18-hole course that's been regarded as one of Jamaica's best. Yes, Golf Digest and Frommers both love this course and you will, too!
With narrow fairways, minuscule drop-off greens, and sweeping views of the ocean and mountains, this course is as beautiful as it is challenging.
This course is located at the Sandals Ochi Beach Resort, but it’s just a 15 minute trip from Sandals Royal Plantation and 25 minutes from Sandals Dunn River. Since all transfers to and from the course from neighboring resorts are complimentary, you’re not bound to stay at one location in order to hit the links.

The Golf Experience at Sandals Resorts
Golf at Sandals isn't just about the game; it's about the entire experience. Here's what golfers can look forward to when staying at a Sandals golf resort.
Golf Clinics and Instruction
For those looking to improve their swing, Sandals Resorts offer a complimentary group golf clinic every week. Private lessons with PGA-certified golf instructors are also available. This personalized attention can help you refine your technique and take your game to the next level.
Premium Equipment and Pro Shops
Sandals golf facilities are equipped with pro shops where you can rent or purchase top-of-the-line equipment. From clubs to golf attire, you'll find everything you need to hit the links in style.
Comfortable Accommodations and Gourmet Dining
After a day on the green, retreat to your luxurious room or suite and indulge in the gourmet dining options available at each resort. With a variety of international cuisines and premium drinks included, you can savor the flavors of the world without leaving the comfort of the resort.

Planning Your Sandals Golf Vacation
When planning your golf vacation at a Sandals Resort, consider these tips to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.
Check the Inclusions
Sandals Resorts are all-inclusive, but it's essential to check what's included in your golf package. Some resorts may offer complimentary green fees, while others might have additional costs for golf cart rental, range access, and caddie services.
Typically, caddies are not employees of the resort, so it’s appropriate to tip them.
Book Tee Times in Advance
To secure your preferred tee times, it's a good idea to book them in advance of your trip. This will help you plan your vacation itinerary and ensure you get to play when it suits you best.
Consider the Season
The Caribbean has a tropical climate, but there are still peak and off-peak seasons to consider. Peak season typically offers the best weather for golf, but off-peak times can provide more affordable rates and less crowded courses.
And finally...
